Hi. My name is Rachel and I'm a sewaholic! I've been contemplating and procrastinating about starting a blog for ages. But, as with anything in life, the only thing to do is ... just do it! So I will!
I've been sewing for many, many years and have had my own business making made-to-measure clothing - mainly evening wear and wedding dresses but now I work elsewhere and I'm a selfish sewer - it's all for me, me, me! I usually make my own patterns from my own designs but I am definitely happy to also use the commercial pattern companies and Burdastyle magazine if I see something I like. I'm also a textile artist, using free machine embroidery and many other techniques. Basically I love anything to with fabric, threads, needles and 'sew' on (ha ha!). I love books and magazines. And food! Eating it, cooking it, shopping for it, reading about it - I just love it.
A recent life upheaval has, I think, spurred me to action. This blog will record my previous makes, current projects and future hopes. You are welcome to join me on this journey and lets see where it takes us........
